Brian McPhee

Brian McPhee is the author of historical novels with settings as varied as Leonardo’s studio, Glasgow shipyards in the 1930s and wartime Italy. He has also published a series of ‘Books to Inspire Young People’ and other non-fiction works.

He was born in and lived in Glasgow, Scotland until he was 21, when he moved to London. In his early 40s, following a year in New York, he moved with his wife and daughter to a community near Annapolis, Maryland, where they lived for 13 years.

In 2010, he and his wife moved once more, to Monpazier, a picturesque medieval village in south-west France.

A French resident, he holds UK and US passports and is currently working on his next novel.
